Update

I am so sorry I have not posted in a while.  School has been very busy and I have tons to write about.  I have read almost four books since my last post.

One of the books I have read was, Gone, by Micheal Grant.  This book is a first in its six book series and I thought I would give it a try.  It is dystopian fiction, but it has connections to things right now.  It is about a town in California in which everybody over the age of fifteen disappears.  And it is about how they survive and how animals start mutating and people start to get powers.  It is a good read if you want something a little on the creepy side.  I am actually in the middle of the second one, Hunger, and it's good so far.  And oh yes, this book is a very clean read with not much bad language in it. (which is probably why I like it so much)

Another book I read was, I am Number Four, and it was another one of those dystopian fiction/ sci- fi kind of books. It was a very fast read that kind of left me on an edge.  At one point I almost stopped reading it because of the bad language, but overall it was a great story.  There is a movie, but I have not seen it and I am not planning to either.  If you're desperate for a book then this might be a good choice or if you don't mind bad language.

I also got to meet Patricia Polacco, an amazing childrens book author.  She has written over 55 books including, Thank you, Mr. Falker, Pink and Say, The Keeping Quilt, My Older Rotton Red-Headed Brother, and mammy many more. She is so amazing because she has four very impacting, learning dissabilities.  She was constantly bullied in school, but still she became one of the most beloved picture book author in the world.  Something cool about her books is that she illustrates and writes every one of her books.  She constantly inspires people, and I am so lucky to get a chance to be able to tell her.  Being able to hear her speak and read one of her books was absolutely amazing.  Another thing that's cool is that she signed, Thank you, Mr. Falker, for me.

I will try to keep writing when I get time and I hope that you keep checking up on my blog.
